The Cayman Islands (Amendment) Constitution 2016: In July 2016, several minor amendments were advanced to Sections 96, 97(3) and 106 of the 2009 Constitution, by way of the Cayman Islands Constitution (Amendment) Order 2016 (the “Amendment Order”). These amendments, which were proposed with the support of the Honourable Premier, the Honourable Leader of the Opposition and the Judiciary, relate to the tenure of and applicable disciplinary procedures for our judiciary.
